Our Tea Masters balance Ceylon, Kenyan and Assam teas for this blend. They use plenty of high-grown Ceylon, sourced from the country’s central hills. This is where Sri Lanka’s finest tea gardens are found. It gives the blend its brisk, lively quality, which we enhance with a touch of our signature citrusy bergamot flavoring.

Subtle yet distinctive, our English Tea No.1 is a delightfully uplifting brew. Try it with a slice of lemon to highlight the tea’s crisp bergamot notes, or serve it strong with a splash of milk to bring out the deeper Assam richness. However you enjoy it, each bag delivers a freshly aromatic cuppa every time.

We’re proud to say our English Tea No.1 picked up a Great Taste Award in 2017. The judges praised the tea’s color, aroma and flavor, describing it as ‘delicate but robust and full of character’ and ‘nicely balanced’. We chose William Lionel Wyllie’s colorful painting “Opening of Tower Bridge” for the box. A scene that celebrates British excellence seemed appropriate.
